Abstract

The following article examines the historical and intellectual context where the Historical Research Institute and the History of the Catholic University magazine were organized. It is argued that the irruption of the current influenced by the Annales School and the Marxist historiography stimulated a dynamic around the historiographical disputes that accelerated the historical reflection establishing in this centre of studies, consolidating a conservative nucleus that emerged particularly in the School of Law.
